Location: Franklin Avenue at Sylvan Lane

Bicycle and pedestrian use of Franklin Avenue between Regent Street and Speedway Road is on the rise. Automobile use of the same north-south corridor is also increasing. Lack of a sidewalk, bike path or bike lane forces everyone – like this couple with a baby in a stroller – onto the traffic lanes.

Hoyt Park 2012 Improvements

Neighborhood Plan Comittee reviewed plan and agreed that they are against formal gathering place at base of intersection of shepherd terrace and Van Hise. Three of the four property owners that neighbor this intersection are against this initiative. VNA supports use of picnic tables within Hoyt Park that are steps away

New Election Laws in Place for February 21 Election

Election Procedures/Polling Places New election laws will be fully implemented for the February 21 Primary Election.

State law now requires voters to present identification when voting. The law is very specific about which forms of ID will be accepted:

The City Clerk’s Office still has many Election Official vacancies to fill for the February 21 Primary Election.
