Ride the Drive – A Car Free, Care Free Event

September 25, 2011, 10a.m. – 3p.m.
www.cityofmadison.com/ridethedrive

Ride the Drive is a community event that turns a 5-mile loop of Madison’s signature streets into a public promenade that is open to bikers, walkers, rollerbladers, and those out to share in the experience and fun atmosphere. This popular event has drawn over 20,000 families, friends, and recreation enthusiasts to each event. This popular route includes John Nolan Drive, East Washington Ave., the Capitol Square and State Street.

In order to host such an event, we need the help of many volunteers.

Volunteers are needed as intersection guides, bike ambassadors, information station volunteers, activity helpers and much more. Shifts vary from 2 hours to all day, so find the one that works for you. Have even more fun and volunteer with a friend for the same shift.

All volunteer descriptions, shifts, and volunteer registration can be found on the Ride the Drive Volunteer webpage.

Ride the Drive is presented by the City of Madison, Madison Parks, and Trek.
