Thefts From Vehicles

Unfortunately, thefts from vehicles continue to be an all-too frequent offense., In fact, more than 300 thefts from motor vehicles have been reported in the West District so far this year., These incidents are very difficult to investigate after the fact, so doing what you can to avoid being a victim is highly recommended., Please remember these simple tips:

  • Always lock your vehicle when you’re not in it.
  • Avoid leaving money or items of value in your vehicle., If you must leave them in your vehicle, be sure that they aren’t visible.
  • Many thefts from vehicles are taking place out of private residential garages, so keep your vehicles locked while in your garage and keep your garage doors closed.

West District personnel will be providing some extra focus on the theft from vehicle problem this month.,, Following these simple steps will help us help you, and will greatly reduce your chances of being victimized.
