Please Join us in Celebrating 4th of July (Monday) with the following events
PARADE – 10:30AM
We gather on the corner of Van Hise Ave. and Shepard Terrace. Everyone is invited to be in the parade, so bring your decorated bikes, scooters, wagons and strollers. Immediately following the parade, come celebrate with refreshments from the sangria cart, kids games and concert from neighborhood marching band.
LUNCH – 12:00PM
We gather for lunch on Shepard Terrace- top of the hill. Please bring a dish to share. We will provide hot dogs, hamburgers and veggie burgers (Gluten Free and Regular) to grill. Condiments and Buns are provided as well. During lunch we will be led in an American sing-a-long.
EGG TOSS/WATER BALLOON TOSS – 2:OOPM
The ever-popular egg toss and water balloon toss will cap off our day’s activities. Winners will take home a stylish trophy, suitable for proud display on their mantle until next year.
VOLUNTEERS
This day is great fun and there are lots of ways to be involved. If you would like to volunteer for any of the activities mentioned below, Please email me at ddederich@uwalumni.com
- Supply a Table
- Sangria Cart – Set up and Serve our guest
- Pick up & return “road closed” signs
- Set up and hang decorations (9:00am setup)
- Play in the band
- Lead the parade as Uncle Sam and Lady Liberty
- Clean up after potluck

ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP FEE
This will be our 67th year celebrating VanChaMasShe 4th of July Block Party. You make this happen every year with your participation and generous donations. 2016 Annual membership fee will be $20.00 family /$10.00 single per household. You can pay cash or checks can be made out to VanChaMasShe Neighborhood Assoc. Fee will cover 4th of July party, Directory, Website and future events. Please let me know if you have any questions.
